Google Unveils Flow: AI-Powered Filmmaking Tool Featuring Veo 3

At the 2025 Google I/O developer conference, Google introduced Flow, a new AI-driven video creation tool designed to assist filmmakers and storytellers. Flow leverages Google’s latest video generation model, Veo 3, to produce high-quality videos with integrated audio elements, including dialogue and sound effects.

Flow enables users to generate short video clips by providing text or image prompts. The tool includes an integrated scene builder, allowing creators to assemble clips into cohesive narratives. This functionality aims to simplify the video creation process, making it more accessible to users without extensive editing experience.

Veo 3, the underlying model powering Flow, offers enhanced capabilities over its predecessors. It can generate videos that incorporate realistic physics and accurate lip-syncing, resulting in more lifelike outputs. Additionally, Veo 3 supports native audio generation, enabling the inclusion of ambient sounds and music directly within the video creation process.

Currently, Flow is available to users in the United States through Google’s AI Pro and AI Ultra subscription plans. The AI Ultra plan provides access to higher-resolution video generation and advanced camera controls. There is no confirmed timeline for the tool’s availability in other regions.

Flow represents Google’s ongoing efforts to integrate artificial intelligence into creative workflows, offering tools that enhance and streamline the content creation process. By combining text and image prompts with advanced video and audio generation capabilities, Flow aims to provide a versatile platform for storytellers and content creators.
